Is your goal to create a duplicate DVD, or is it to convert to DivX? If the latter, then I recommend using D-Vision , which will operate directly from a DVD.
If your goal is to co ... MKV to DVD -- audio loses sync - I have an MKV video file which runs at 23.976 fps and has a 5.1 AC3 soundtrack, all which I want to convert to DVD. The problem is, the audio is out of sync and I can't get it right. Here's what I'm doing:
I used VirtualDubMod to extract the audio and subtitle streams into a sepatate AC3 and SRT files, then use TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 to convert ... I know it's an old ripper but it can read VOB files from a folder, and output as VOBs.... Subtitles and NTSC -> PAL Video Conversion ? - There's an AddBorders command that you can use to put extra black around your video. You can do something like this:
AddBorders (24, 152, 24, 152)
which will make your video be 720x576 (valid for PAL) on the output.
It may be valid but that may mess up the aspect ratio as DVD resolution is not 1:1 AR. If the source has perfect 1:1 AR then ... dvd recording problem - If your computer can see a .VRO file on the DVD, there are ways to re-author the video and burn a conventional DVD disc, but it isn't a simple one-click process.

THNX!... Mp4 to avi video freezes in WinFF - Hello all, recently I kinda want to convert some mp4 to avi to watch on my dvd player. I tried out Winff yesterday and really love the simplicity and the reviews. With that, my problem is the avi are freezing every few seconds but the audio keeps on going. I tried on a couple different files of mp4 using the xvid in AVI 4:3 and 16:9 options and ... Simple VOBs to DVD-ready MPEG 2 HOW? - In between checking this board, i tried feeding the MPEG 2 with AC3 through Visual Hub (which of course uses ffmpeg ) with audio pass-through and conversion to NTSC. I was suspicious when it finished in about 40 minutes.
The result was rather blocky, and it's minimal interface doesn't specify FPS so i forgot to check. It came out 29.97 fp ... advice for editing m2ts files from ps3 - with xvid4psp i couldnt fathom a method to cut out sections of the video, when trying to encode the original into a mpeg2 format the programme was going to take over 4 hours to encode an hour of video.
Avidemux looked great, cut out the unwanted portions set up to encode an xvid, followed the tutorial to the letter but the file it produced d ... Personally I'm waiting for Blu-ray players that will not only play HiDef Divx/Xvid but also mkv/x264. Seems far off now, but it took a couple of generations 4 DVD players to start supporting Divx compatibility, so I'm not too worried
I'm with ya. :wink: That's what I want, and I suspect you're right about BD being the only practicable ... DivX DVD Disc with Menu - most divx compatible players will present a simple menu where you can choose which video to play, i personally wouldnt bother with it since those simple onscreen menus are more than enough to choose which movie to play.

I need to get several clips under 100 mb exporting as Quicktime video file.
